Associate Professor Emma Hamilton-Williams hopes the research will end the lifelong dependency on insulin. With the support of the 芒果直播 Research Program researchers are aiming to create a vaccine that can re-educate the t-cells in the immune system to stop the pathogenic process that leads them to destroy the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas.
