The latest type 2 diabetes medicines are helping people lose weight and better manage blood glucose levels. The most well-known of these medicines is Ozempic (semaglutide).

It has been in global shortage since early 2022. We are still not certain when there will be sufficient stock to meet the demand for this medicine.
