In NSW and the ACT we work to improve the day-to-day lives of people living with diabetes. We aim to make things easier by providing access to education, information, programs and services designed to help people better manage their diabetes.

We provide trusted information, advice and support through:

Our prevention and awareness activities contribute to reducing the development of diabetes and the complications for those living with it.

Supporting the diabetes community in NSW and ACT

â¹ûÖ±²¥ in NSW & ACT delivers advocacy support, psychological care and up to date expert advice to people living with diabetes. A range of national programs have been trialed and launched in NSW & ACT. These include:

• â¹ûÖ±²¥ clinic providing access expert â¹ûÖ±²¥ clinicians via our telehealth service
• for children and teens with type 1 diabetes and their families
• , an exercise program to help participants get back into a healthy routine to better manage diabetes and other chronic lifestyle conditions.

We work across all levels of government to represent the views of people living with diabetes in all types of public debates and discussions. The Diabetic Association of Australia (as the organisation was known then) was founded in 1938 by Sir Kempson Maddox.
